The 2010 master of fine arts candidates at Massachusetts College of Art and Design present The Midway Show. The exhibition features work from nationally and internationally recognized artists working in a wide range of media. Painting, drawing, photography, projection, sculpture, sound, and other works will be on view. The exhibition is on display July 17 through July 29 at the Sandra & David Bakalar Gallery.  A free closing reception will be held on Tuesday, July 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. 

MassArt’s MFA program is a rigorous two-year program culminating in a thesis exhibition.  The Midway Show offers a unique opportunity to view the work of a diverse group of artists who, after an intensive first year of study and interdisciplinary collaboration, are actively refining their artistic perspectives.  

Midway includes work by: Gretchen Burger, Stephanie Cardon, Christopher Carroll, Olivia Glascock, Wilson Lawrence, Sarah Lubin, Marc McNulty, Laurel McMechan, Adrian Negenborn, Sarah Alice Moran, Tony Oliveto, Jordan Bentley Ricks, Carrie Strine, Elizabeth Thach, Kevin Thrasher, Gregory Vershbow, Johanna Warwick, Andres Zuniga.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.
